Punjab Health Department and UNICEF Discuss Joint Initiatives

Punjab Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Khawaja Imran Nazir, met with a UNICEF delegation to discuss ongoing and future collaborative projects across various public health sectors. The discussions centered on strengthening maternal and child healthcare, enhancing immunization efforts, and improving access to primary healthcare services in the province.

The UNICEF delegation included Dr. Quratulain Ahmed (Health Specialist), Dr. Saira Khan (MNCH Officer), Dr. Khurram Mubeen (Immunization Officer), and Dr. Ghazala Ahsan (Health Officer). The meeting focused on evaluating the progress of current joint initiatives and exploring avenues for further cooperation to tackle pressing public health challenges.

Khawaja Imran Nazir commended UNICEF’s contributions and reiterated his commitment to bolstering mutual cooperation in improving healthcare services. Both parties expressed their intent to continue working closely to promote the health and wellbeing of mothers, children, and communities across Punjab.
