Pakistan and Indonesia Strengthen Defense Cooperation in Rawalpindi Meeting

**Pakistan and Indonesia Affirm Commitment to Enhance Defence Ties in High-Level Meeting**
Indonesia’s Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General (Retired) Sjaafri Sjamsoedin, visited the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi to meet with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The Indonesian delegation included representatives from various military and intelligence organizations of Indonesia.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation and explored opportunities to deepen military relations. The discussions also addressed the regional security environment and underscored the enduring friendship and collaboration between Pakistan and Indonesia.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in promoting regional peace and stability. Highlighting Pakistan’s role in fighting terrorism, Indonesia’s Defence Minister praised the Pakistan Army’s contributions and reiterated his country’s commitment to further enhancing defence ties with Pakistan.
