PCF Delegation Explores Maritime Collaboration with NIMA for Climate Action

A youth delegation from the Progressive Climate Foundation (PCF) visited the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) in Islamabad to explore collaborative opportunities in climate research, maritime policy, and youth-driven sustainability initiatives. The engagement underscores the shared commitment of both organizations to fostering science-based and youth-led action for a sustainable future.

During the visit, the PCF delegation was welcomed by NIMA officials and took part in an in-depth session focused on the potential of Pakistan’s blue economy. The session included an interactive question-and-answer segment with Vice Admiral (Retired) Ahmed Saeed HI(M), President of NIMA, providing participants with valuable insights into the intersection of maritime affairs and climate resilience.

Young climate leaders from PCF highlighted their strong interest in maritime sustainability, demonstrating the increasing enthusiasm among Pakistani youth for advancing climate-resilient development across the nation’s coastal and marine sectors.
