The gathering followed instructions from the Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, to ensure that celebrations reflect the spirit and significance of the national events.
Key measures agreed upon include decorating government and public buildings with national flags, extensive lighting displays, and the installation of digital streamers and LED lights along major city roads such as Constitution Avenue, Club Road, Srinagar Highway, and Jinnah Avenue. The overall aim is to enhance the festive atmosphere and present Islamabad in a vibrant and patriotic light.
Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that a series of cultural and public events will be organized to inspire national pride. These will include flag-hoisting ceremonies, road decorations with colorful lights, cultural performances, fireworks, national song competitions, and other public programs. Special contests and shows for schoolchildren, including debates, painting exhibitions, and tableaus, are also planned. Additionally, all city parks and grounds will be illuminated, and buses operating in Islamabad will display special branding related to the events.
Security and traffic management are being given special attention, with instructions for enhanced measures to ensure the safety and convenience of citizens. Islamabad Police will provide comprehensive security arrangements, including checks at entry and exit points, CCTV monitoring at key locations, and the deployment of special security teams to maintain a peaceful environment.
The Chairman highlighted that the commemoration of Maarka-e-Haq is not only an opportunity to pay tribute to the nation’s armed forces but also serves as a reminder of national unity and resilience. He stressed that these celebrations stand as a testament to the Pakistani nation’s solidarity and unwavering support for the armed forces in overcoming challenges and thwarting adversarial intentions.
