National Minority Day Commitment to Equality and Justice in Pakistan

Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, has emphasized the importance of equality, justice, and respect for all citizens of Pakistan on National Minority Day. In a message marking the occasion, he called on the nation to reaffirm its commitment to protecting the rights of minorities and fostering unity among diverse communities.

Senator Tarar recalled the vision of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who advocated for a country where religion would not impede any citizen’s rights, dignity, or opportunities. He noted that Islam’s teachings urge the protection of all communities, the promotion of harmony, and the consistent upholding of justice.

Highlighting the significance of National Minority Day, the minister urged all Pakistanis to work together to build a society where diversity is embraced, unity is strengthened, and justice remains the central guiding value. He encouraged citizens to ensure that every individual, regardless of faith, enjoys equal rights and respect in the country.
