Honouring Rawalpindi Health Achievements
Honorable Member Provincial Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Health Asma Naz Abbasi led a tribute to the District Administration and District Health Authority Rawalpindi at the Celebration of Success held at the Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi, marking a historic decline in dengue cases and 15 consecutive years of being polio-free.
The ceremony recognised the dedication of frontline teams, field staff and leadership whose coordinated efforts safeguarded public wellbeing across the district. Officials highlighted the District Health Authority Rawalpindi and district administration for sustained planning and rapid response that helped deliver these public health gains.
Rawalpindi health accomplishments have eased pressures on hospitals and reflected strong community engagement in outreach and preventative measures. Speakers noted that the city’s success results from persistent surveillance, immunization outreach and the commitment of local teams working in challenging conditions.
