Arshad Javed’s Dedication to Special Children and Sports Education

Islamabad: Arshad Javed, CEO of United Sports International, Country Sports Head at Froebels International Schools, and former Director of National Sports Special Olympics Pakistan, has dedicated the past three decades to serving special children across the country. With his extensive experience, he has conducted courses worldwide, organized numerous camps, and trained dozens of students who are now serving both nationally and internationally.
During an interview with Sports Life and Peak Point Media Group, Javed highlighted the significance of sports activities for special children, noting that sports provide a range of beneficial physical and mental activities such as running, bowling, and kicking. He initiated the first camp in Karachi in 1993, catering to special children from the age of three. Javed emphasized that the government’s primary responsibility should be to empower special children and enhance their abilities, which is why he has established various camps throughout the country.
Javed also stressed the role of parents in considering special children as valuable members of society and providing them with proper attention and education. Educational institutions dedicated to special children exist in Pakistan to fulfill this purpose.
Moreover, Javed commended the efforts of the Pakistani government in supporting special children, mentioning that the Sports Board is in the process of establishing a separate center specifically for them. He added that special children receive training for 2 to 3 hours in both winter and summer seasons. Furthermore, the national team squad is scheduled to depart for Germany on June 12 to participate in the upcoming Special Olympics Games in Berlin, which will take place from June 12 to June 26.
