Collaborating for a Digitally Integrated Pakistan with DEEP

The National Information Technology Board (NITB) recently held a productive collaborative session with focal persons from several key federal departments, marking a significant advancement toward creating a unified and digitally integrated Pakistan. The meeting, organized as part of the Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP), aimed at enhancing citizen-centric public services through digitization and cross-departmental cooperation.
Key participants included representatives from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, and the Ministry of Commerce. During the meeting, the Project Director of NITB outlined the main objectives behind DEEP and explained the vision for the National Citizen Portal. This portal is intended to digitize and streamline public service delivery across Pakistan, making services more accessible, transparent, and efficient for all citizens.
Representatives from all attending departments commended NITB’s proactive initiative, highlighting the benefits of creating an integrated digital ecosystem which is responsive, efficient, and citizen-focused. They showed strong willingness to collaborate and actively participate in the development and implementation phases.
This collaborative session represents an important milestone in fostering interdepartmental synergy, ensuring aligned objectives, and ultimately expediting Pakistan’s journey towards comprehensive digital transformation.
