Empowering Entrepreneurs with Qarz-e-Hasna Support

Al-Khidmat Foundation Gujrat held a ceremony to distribute Qarz-e-Hasna cheques to deserving individuals, aimed at supporting small businesses and promoting self-employment across Gujrat. The initiative seeks to provide practical, interest-free financial support so local entrepreneurs can launch or expand micro enterprises and improve household incomes.

The event was attended by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Dr. Tariq Saleem as chief guest, with Chaudhry Ansar Mahmood, Khalid Mahmood Saqib and Chaudhry Naeem Shahbaz also present. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tariq Saleem emphasized that the Qarz-e-Hasna scheme is a concrete step toward creating employment opportunities and fostering financial independence among low-income families.

Dr. Tariq Saleem described Al-Khidmat Foundation as a leading non-profit in Pakistan that has helped thousands of families become self-reliant through its Islamic microfinance programs. He noted that the Qarz-e-Hasna loans enable small entrepreneurs to develop sustainable livelihoods while preserving social dignity and avoiding interest-based credit.

Highlighting the role of women in these efforts, Dr. Tariq Saleem said a substantial number of beneficiaries are women who have improved their economic conditions and contributed meaningfully to household incomes. He reiterated that Al-Khidmat’s microfinance model, grounded in Islamic finance principles, delivers socially responsible, interest-free assistance that uplifts economically weaker segments and strengthens local economies in Gujrat.
