Forming Joint Forces Alliance to Protect Women

At Fatima Jinnah University in Rawalpindi, AL Wilayat Organization director Syed Ali Haider, in cooperation with an inquiry committee operating under Section 3(2) of the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act 2010, announced the formation of the Joint Forces Alliance. The initiative aims to ensure women’s safety, unite all agencies working against harassment on a single platform, and improve coordination between the public and institutions.

The event featured Member of the National Assembly Tahira Aurangzeb as the guest of honor. The panel included representatives from multiple agencies: SHO Virtual Women Police Station Islamabad Maryam Nisar, Assistant Registrar FOSPAH Aneesa Zaib, Women Protection Officer Aqeela Tasneem, SHO Virtual Women Police Station Rawalpindi Bushra Batool, with former DG FIA Nawab ul Haq Nadeem serving as panel supervisor. Their participation underscores a multi-institutional commitment to addressing harassment.

The newly formed Joint Forces Alliance will provide immediate guidance, legal assistance and protective measures for women facing harassment, while working to build trust and cooperation between law enforcement, protection officers and the general public. The focus is on practical support and swift responses to reported incidents, anchored in the legal framework of the 2010 Act.

Following the announcement, the panel will embark on a nationwide tour of educational institutions to raise awareness among students about their legal rights and the facilities available for women’s protection. The outreach will prioritize clear information on how to access assistance and the role of the Joint Forces Alliance in strengthening campus safety and institutional accountability.
