FJWU Gold Medalist Areeba Samman Honored for Academic Excellence in Islamic Studies

93.51% CGPA Earns Areeba Samman Gold Medal at FJWU’s 22nd Convocation

RAWALPINDI — Among the shining stars of Fatima Jinnah Women University’s (FJWU) 22nd Convocation, Areeba Samman emerged as a beacon of academic excellence and dedication, earning First Position (Gold Medal) in the Department of Islamic Studies for the academic session 2020–2024. With an impressive CGPA of 3.76 (93.51%), Areeba’s consistent performance and intellectual rigor reflect the spirit of excellence that FJWU seeks to cultivate in its students.

Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Areeba distinguished herself across a wide range of subjects, including Islamic Law, Hadith Studies, Comparative Religions, and Quranic Exegesis. Her transcript reflects outstanding grades in every semester, with repeated high distinctions in major subjects like Tajweed, Fiqh-ul-Ibadat, Islamic Law of Inheritance, and Textual Study of Quran—demonstrating both academic depth and passion for her field.

In a ceremony held at the Jinnah Convention Center, Islamabad, Areeba was awarded the Gold Medal by dignitaries including the Governor of Punjab, H.E. Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, and FJWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (Pride of Performance, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz). She was one of 44 students to receive gold medals out of over 1,400 graduates honored this year.
