Corruption Suspects Arrested for Illegal Plot Registration

The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Corruption Circle has arrested three government officials allegedly involved in corruption and fraudulent registration of plots worth millions of rupees.

In a major operation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad, authorities apprehended three suspects identified as Abdullah Khan, Nasir Hayat, and Maqsood Ahmed.

According to FIA spokesperson, two of the suspects—Abdullah Khan and Maqsood Ahmed—served as Assistant Administrative Officers, whereas the third suspect, Nasir Hayat, occupied the position of Senior Private Secretary. All three officials were working within the Ministry of Kashmir and Gilgit Affairs.

The arrests came after evidence emerged indicating that the accused illegally registered valuable government plots located in Jhelum, allocating them unlawfully to non-Kashmiri individuals in violation of clearly defined allotment rules.

Following their detention, the FIA has launched a detailed investigation into the case to assess the extent of their fraudulent activities. Authorities are also working to identify and apprehend additional accomplices involved in this illegal scheme as the inquiry progresses.
