Farah Naz Akbar Visits NAPA to Support Performing Arts Growth

Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar, recently visited the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), underscoring her commitment to strengthening performing arts education and supporting the academy’s future initiatives.

Upon arrival, Ms. Akbar was warmly received by Chairman of NAPA’s Board of Directors, Syed Jawaid Iqbal, along with the institution’s faculty members. During her visit, she toured various facilities including theatres, classrooms, and music studios. She also took time to interact directly with students and teachers to better understand their educational experiences and artistic aspirations.

Ms. Akbar commended NAPA for its valuable contributions to Pakistan’s performing arts landscape, recognizing how it has played a significant role in nurturing the nation’s artistic talent. She assured the academy of her support in its efforts to secure degree program accreditation from the Higher Education Commission (HEC), as well as in pursuing a permanent space dedicated to NAPA’s continued growth.

Emphasizing the importance of broadening the academy’s reach, Ms. Akbar stressed the need to expand NAPA’s presence nationwide. Such expansion, she noted, would help identify and nurture artistic potential across various regions, enriching the country’s cultural heritage and arts sector.

Concluding the visit on a positive note, NAPA faculty members presented Ms. Akbar with a commemorative memento as an expression of gratitude and appreciation for her interest and continued support of the performing arts community.
