Pakistan Nutrition Initiatives and Maternal Child Health Progress

Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal met with Dr. Shabina Raza, Country Director of Nutrition International Pakistan, to discuss strengthening nutrition-related initiatives in the country. The meeting focused on enhancing the effectiveness of ongoing projects, expanding maternal and child health programs, and aligning activities with the goals of the national nutrition policy.
During the discussions, both parties explored strategies to make existing nutrition projects more impactful. Special emphasis was placed on broadening the reach of programs targeting the health of mothers and children, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing malnutrition and public health challenges.
Minister Kamal acknowledged the valuable contributions of Nutrition International in Pakistan’s health sector and expressed appreciation for the organization’s efforts. Both sides agreed to maintain close collaboration in the future in order to achieve shared objectives for improved national nutrition and health outcomes.
