The Punjab Sports Board has initiated formal preparations for the First Youth Games 2025, following a high-level meeting chaired by Director General Sports Punjab Khizr Afzal Chaudhry. The meeting brought together representatives from various Punjab Sports Associations, who agreed on key measures to ensure fair and transparent arrangements for the upcoming event.
During the session, officials announced that comprehensive player trials will be held across all divisions of Punjab to select participants for the Youth Games, scheduled for September 2025. Clear instructions were issued to all associations to conduct these trials strictly on merit and with transparency, aiming to discover and promote the region’s top athletic talent.
To oversee the selection process, dedicated committees will be established in every division. Each committee will comprise a representative from the Punjab Sports Board, a delegate from the relevant sports association, an international or renowned player, and a member of the Punjab Olympic Association. This structure is designed to uphold integrity and fairness throughout the trials.
Once players are selected, they will participate in a specialized training camp in Lahore, to be held 15 days prior to the start of the Games. This camp will provide athletes with the opportunity to refine their skills and enhance their readiness for Punjab’s inaugural Youth Games.
