Women Health Empowerment Initiatives in Punjab

A delegation of women from the Professional Wing, led by Khawaja Shahzaib Akram and Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development Saadia Taimoor, met with Punjab’s Minister for Health and Population, Khawaja Imran Nazir, at the Population House to discuss strategies for women’s empowerment and public health initiatives.
During the meeting, participants held an in-depth discussion on the role of the Department of Health and Population in empowering women, with particular emphasis on supporting key health campaigns. The delegation pledged their full support for the upcoming cervical cancer vaccination drive, stressing the importance of active participation from both local communities and business chambers to ensure the campaign’s effectiveness.
Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir reaffirmed the government’s commitment to women’s health, stating that under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision, the well-being of women is a top priority. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on the health of future mothers, highlighting the administration’s dedication to improving health outcomes for women across Punjab.
