Strengthening Hope and Healing for Burn and Acid Attack Survivors in Punjab

The Emergency Services Department and Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) have entered into a collaborative agreement aimed at improving the support and care available to burn and acid attack survivors across Punjab. The newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focuses on providing secure and dignified transportation, as well as coordinated emergency and psychological care, to individuals undergoing reconstructive surgeries and recovery.

Under the terms of the agreement, both departments will work together to ensure that survivors receive timely medical attention and are transported safely and respectfully to healthcare facilities. This initiative also extends to offering psychological support, recognizing the complex challenges faced by survivors of burn and acid attacks.

By formalizing this partnership, the Emergency Services Department and PSPA highlight their shared commitment to fostering compassion, dignity, and resilience among some of the province’s most vulnerable individuals. The joint effort marks a significant step towards strengthening hope and healing across Punjab, ensuring survivors are treated with the care and respect they deserve.
