Pakistan Red Crescent Advances PGI in Humanitarian Programs

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), with support from the Norwegian Red Cross, held a meeting focused on integrating protection, gender, and inclusion (PGI) principles into its operations. The initiative aims to ensure that PRCS’s humanitarian activities uphold the values of dignity, safety, and inclusivity.

During the meeting at the PRCS National Headquarters, Dr. Sinha from the Canadian Red Cross provided a detailed briefing to department heads on key PGI considerations. The guidance offered by Dr. Sinha is intended to help strengthen inclusive approaches across all PRCS programmes and operational areas.

Honourable Secretary General Mr. Muhammad Abaidullah Khan chaired the session, underlining the organization’s ongoing commitment to making protection, gender, and inclusion central to all aspects of its work. The meeting reflects PRCS’s dedication to creating a safe and dignified environment for both staff and beneficiaries through the mainstreaming of PGI principles in its humanitarian efforts.
