CDA Increases Hajj Slots for Employees in 2025 Balloting

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has increased the number of CDA employees selected to perform Hajj this year from 66 to 76, following a transparent balloting ceremony held at CDA Headquarters in Islamabad. The move was widely appreciated by CDA staff, as it gives more employees the opportunity for this sacred pilgrimage.
The balloting ceremony, presided over by Chairman Randhawa, involved a pool of 9,352 non-gazetted employees ranging from Scale 1 to 17, including 9,123 males and 229 females. As a result, 77 employees were chosen to perform Hajj this year. The event was attended by senior CDA board members, union leaders, directors, and a large number of staff members, reflecting the significance of the occasion for the organization.
During the ceremony, Chairman Randhawa emphasized the importance of prayers from the selected employees, urging them to remember Pakistan, its people, and especially the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. He highlighted that the CDA thrives on the hard work of its employees and the prayers of their families, and he expressed hopes that those going for Hajj would seek blessings for the nation and the institution.
Chairman Randhawa credited the increase in Hajj slots to the request of the CDA Workers Union General Secretary, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, who was thanked for his active role. The decision to add ten more spots this year, like the previous year, was praised by staff and recognized as a gesture of appreciation for the workforce’s dedication.
Speaking to employees, Randhawa advised them to maintain good intentions, work diligently, and remain accountable to God. He assured that with ongoing commitment and faith, neither their institution, the city, nor the country would be looked down upon.
Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin congratulated the successful employees and lauded Chairman Randhawa’s leadership, not only for overseeing but personally conducting the balloting. He described it as a memorable and blessed occasion for CDA staff and reiterated the Workers Union’s commitment to supporting the administration in promoting staff welfare without discrimination.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the safety and progress of Pakistan, for the honor of the martyrs, and for the continued prosperity of both the CDA and the nation.
