Møns Klint Joins UNESCO World Heritage Sites List

Møns Klint, the picturesque white chalk cliffs located on the Danish island of Møn, has been officially recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known for its dramatic coastal landscape, Møns Klint now joins a prestigious list of natural and cultural landmarks acknowledged for their global significance.
With this addition, Denmark and Greenland now boast a total of 15 UNESCO World Heritage sites. These include notable cultural landmarks such as Kronborg Castle in Helsingør and natural wonders like the Ilulissat Icefjord in Greenland. The recognition of Møns Klint highlights its unique geological features and further emphasizes Denmark’s commitment to preserving its natural and cultural heritage.
