The Punjab Highway Patrol Rawalpindi Region marked Independence Day with a series of community-focused events, including blood donation and free medical camps. These initiatives were held at all regional posts to honor the nation and promote public welfare.

Celebrations began with flag-hoisting ceremonies at every highway patrol post, accompanied by prayers for the safety and prosperity of the country. Special cakes were cut to commemorate the day.

A major event was the organization of a blood donation and free medical camp at the Chowk Pandori patrol post, led by Sub-Inspector Atiq-ur-Rehman Kayani. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Muhammad Irfan Butt attended as the chief guest and personally donated blood. The blood drive was conducted in collaboration with Aftab Hussain, Director of Sundas Foundation Islamabad, supported by Admin Manager Khizar Hayat and their team, resulting in donations from 50 volunteers.

Meanwhile, the free medical camp was organized with the support of Roshan Health Research and Welfare Society Pakistan, Mohsin Homeo Store Bohar Bazaar, and BM Pharmacy Lahore. Medical professionals, including Dr. Syed Rashid Ali, Dr. Mohsin Abbas, Dr. Maqsood Khan, Dr. Ajmal Maqbool, Dr. Muhammad Ali Maqsood, and Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, provided consultations and medicines to both Highway Patrol staff and members of the public.
