The tragedy has sparked widespread anger and frustration among Taxila residents, who accuse the Rawalpindi Police of being ineffective in preventing escalating crimes in the area. Witnesses and locals reported a troubling absence of regular night-time police patrols and intelligence gathering, claiming these gaps have contributed to the rising lawlessness observed in recent months.

Further compounding the community’s grief and sense of helplessness, police personnel arrived at the scene only after the attackers had already fled, highlighting what many residents consider to be an alarming pattern of delayed police response across Punjab.

Amid growing public outrage, residents are urging Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Interior Minister to take decisive action, demanding accountability from the Rawalpindi Police and swift justice for the grieving family. The community remains on edge, as the remaining suspects involved in the ruthless assault remain at large.
