The Ministry of National Heritage and Culture Division showcased Pakistan’s vibrant traditions at the Azadi Festival and “Marka-e-Haq” event held at Lok Virsa, with Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar attending as Chief Guest. The celebration highlighted the nation’s cultural richness and honored the sacrifices made for the country’s freedom.
During her visit, Farah Naz Akbar toured stalls featuring traditional handicrafts and regional attire, underscoring the diversity of Pakistan’s heritage. In a gesture of cultural appreciation, she was presented with a Sindhi Ajrak, a distinctive symbol of respect and pride.
The festival came alive with performances including a dynamic brass band, energetic folk dances, and soulful music, all contributing to the event’s spirited atmosphere. A central highlight was the “Marka-e-Haq Azadi Concert” and a folklore theatre performance by the well-known artist Fazal Jutt, who paid special tribute to the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq.
Blending patriotism with cultural expression, the event resonated with messages of sacrifice, freedom, and national unity, leaving a lasting impact on those in attendance.
