Pakistan Youth Lead Inclusive Climate Action Movement

UN Women Pakistan has launched the Youth Climate Action Initiative, a groundbreaking program aimed at engaging young people in the fight against climate change. Supported by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, the initiative emphasizes the leadership of young women and Indigenous communities in developing and implementing solutions to Pakistan’s environmental challenges.
This new effort is designed to ensure that those most affected by climate change are at the forefront of decision-making and action. By prioritizing the voices and contributions of young women and Indigenous groups, the initiative seeks to create more effective, inclusive, and gender-responsive climate strategies.
UN Women Pakistan highlighted that achieving a sustainable future requires the active involvement of all segments of society, especially those who are often underrepresented in climate conversations. The program calls on Pakistan’s youth to join the movement and take charge in building greener, more resilient communities.
