Strengthening Institutional Leadership Across Islamabad

The Federal Directorate of Education, under the guidance of Secretary Education Nadeem Mahbub, has completed the posting of Heads of Institutions across 113 educational sites in Islamabad and adjoining areas to strengthen institutional leadership as the new academic session begins.
The Director General approved the proposals submitted by all six Area Education Officers after a thorough review, resulting in appointments that emphasise balance and inclusion. A total of 51 male and 62 female Heads of Institutions were placed to ensure continuity in academic planning and administration and to bolster institutional leadership at the school level.
Sector coverage is broad with Nilore accounting for 45 institutions, Bhara Kahu 26, Sihala 20, Tarnol 10, Urban I 8 and Urban II 4, providing equitable distribution of leadership across the city and surrounding sectors.
A central aim of the posting process was to assign Heads of Institutions within their respective sectors and, where possible, close to their residences. This proximity is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, foster stronger institutional ownership and contribute to improved performance outcomes in schools.
The timely placement of leadership reaffirms FDE’s commitment to effective governance and strengthened academic management, supporting uninterrupted educational delivery and better oversight as schools move into the new session.
