Six FIA Personnel Injured in Fog-Related Accident Near Faisalabad

At least six personnel of the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) were injured in a fog-related accident in Pindi Bhattian, local media reported.

The incident took place on the M-4 motorway when the vehicle, carrying FIA officers from Gujranwala to Faisalabad, crashed due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Rescue officials confirmed that the injured FIA personnel were promptly shifted to a nearby tehsil headquarter hospital for medical treatment.

In a separate incident on Sunday, the death toll from a multi-vehicle crash on the National Highway near Gharo rose to five, as two more victims succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

The accident involved six vehicles and was triggered by thick fog, which reduced visibility to near zero.

Earlier, three people had died instantly in another fog-related mishap in Thatta district, with the hospital confirming that two more critically injured victims had passed away, increasing the death toll to five.

The victims of these accidents have been identified as Shoaib, Rehman, Nadeem, Moin, and Gul Zaman.

Four more individuals remain in critical condition, and they have been transferred to Karachi for specialized medical care.

In another fog-related tragedy, a passenger bus crashed into a stationary trailer near Darya Khan, Punjab, killing two people and injuring six others.

The bus, traveling from Uch Sharif to Rawalpindi, collided with the trailer due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
