Islamabad Wildlife Management Board Installs Weather Station

The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board has installed a new weather station in Margallah Hills National Park in partnership with NUTechPak to strengthen scientific research and support conservation efforts. The initiative brings together wildlife managers and technologists to monitor environmental conditions and inform ecosystem management.

The weather station, set up within Margallah Hills National Park, will provide continuous meteorological data from the park environment. The installation is part of the board’s efforts to improve understanding of local climate patterns that affect the park’s flora and fauna.

The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board says it is collaborating with NUTechPak to advance research through technology. By combining expertise in wildlife management with technical resources from NUTechPak, the partners aim to develop practical solutions for ecological challenges facing the Margallah Hills ecosystem.

Officials expect the new monitoring capability to support better-informed conservation planning, habitat management, and scientific studies. The partnership also signals a broader move toward using applied technology to enhance natural-resource stewardship in the region.
