Sant Shri Nenuram Mela 52nd Anniversary in Tharparkar

The 52nd Sant Shri Nenuram Mela in Tharparkar opened with traditional Hindu rites, including a Hawan Yagya and the ceremonial offering of a chadar at Khatt Sahib, and was inaugurated by Patron-in-Chief MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani alongside community leaders, officials and devotees.

The festival began with a Hawan Yagya conducted according to Hindu customs, a fire ritual that marks the start of many religious observances. Participants then carried out the ceremonial chadar offering at Khatt Sahib, a customary act of reverence at the shrine.

Elected representatives, local officials and religious leaders joined dozens of devotees for the inauguration. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, serving as the mela’s patron-in-chief, led the opening ceremony and welcomed attendees to the annual gathering.

Organizers describe the mela as an important occasion for honoring the legacy of Sant Shri Nenuram and for sustaining regional Hindu traditions. The event continues to draw pilgrims and community members, reinforcing cultural and spiritual ties across the area.
