Pakistan Digital Vision at SCO Digital Compass

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja represented Pakistan at the International Plenary Session “Digital Compass of the SCO-Partner,” where she outlined Pakistan’s Digital Vision, affirmed the country’s commitment to trusted technologies, and urged strengthened international cooperation to build a secure and inclusive digital future.
Speaking at the plenary, Minister Khawaja presented Pakistan’s roadmap for digital transformation, emphasizing policies and initiatives designed to expand access to digital services, promote innovation, and improve public service delivery. She positioned Pakistan’s digital agenda as focused on both growth and equitable access.
The minister stressed the importance of trusted technologies, calling for standards and practices that ensure security, privacy, and reliability across digital ecosystems. She highlighted the need to adopt technologies that are transparent, interoperable, and resilient to cyber threats.
Khawaja also underscored the role of international collaboration in achieving these goals. She argued that cross-border partnerships, knowledge sharing, and coordinated policy approaches are essential to manage risks, harmonize standards, and enable inclusive digital development for all countries involved.
