CPSP Launches Lahore Extension to Support Trainees

The CPSP extension in Lahore was celebrated with a dinner hosted for Council Members at the newly established extension block of the CPSP Regional Center. The event provided an opportunity for councilors and invited guests to view the facility and discuss its role in supporting postgraduate medical training.

The gathering brought together councilors from all four provinces alongside heads of medical institutions, vice-chancellors, senior professors, deans and faculty members. Conversations during the evening highlighted the centre’s potential to better accommodate an increasing number of fellows and trainees who travel to Lahore for specialist training.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, President of CPSP, explained that the new building was acquired to address the growing demand from trainees and to resolve longstanding parking constraints at the regional campus. He noted that the extension is intended to improve learning facilities and logistical support for residents across Pakistan.

Guests who toured the extension expressed satisfaction with the new spaces, saying the facility will act as a hub for promoting higher medical education and for hosting academic activities for trainees and residents nationwide. The completion of this extension marks an important step for CPSP in expanding capacity and addressing infrastructure needs.
