FMGs Rally Political Backing for Justice

Dr. Rafey Sher and Dr. Hisham Khan, elected representatives of FMGs, met with senior Senator Hidayat Ullah Khan of the ANP to press concerns over recent measures by the PMDC. The senator assured that the ANP will stand with FMGs as they pursue a fair resolution to the issues affecting thousands of young doctors.

Earlier engagements have also yielded political support, with the Pakistan People’s Party confirming backing after several meetings led by Dr. Rafey Sher. Those discussions produced positive commitments from PPP leaders to address the grievances of the affected medical graduates.

Dr. Rafey Sher has further taken the campaign to multiple political and social platforms, where almost all interlocutors expressed sympathy and support for FMGs. Despite this widening base of support, the PMDC has remained publicly silent and is viewed by FMGs as showing a stubborn unwillingness to engage with legitimate demands.

FMGs have resolved not to relent until a just solution is reached, reiterating that the youth of Pakistan must not be left without recourse. They intend to keep the matter in the national spotlight and press for outcomes that restore fairness for medical graduates affected by the disputed measures.

In recognition of his role in coordinating these efforts, Dr. Rafey Sher has been appointed Chief Coordinator (Pakistan) of the Association “Justice for FMGs”, a platform aimed at uniting stakeholders and raising FMGs’ concerns at the national level.
