Advancing Adult Resuscitation Skills in Islamabad
Shifa International Hospitals Ltd. in Islamabad hosted a hands-on Adult Resuscitation pre-conference workshop that helped set the tone for the Emergency Medicine Conference 2025. The day brought together clinicians and emergency teams from across Pakistan to focus on practical skills and real-time decision making in life-threatening scenarios.
Participants practiced core basic and advanced resuscitation techniques and worked through evidence-based cardiac arrest management protocols under simulated conditions. Emphasis on structured team coordination and clear communication allowed attendees to refine rapid role assignment, rhythm recognition, airway management and post-resuscitation care in a controlled learning environment.
Organisers expressed sincere appreciation for the workshop faculty and facilitators whose expertise guided the sessions, and for the active engagement of all participants. The event was delivered in partnership with Shifa Center of Professional Excellence (SCOPE) and Pakistan Society of Emergency Medicine (PSEM), whose collaboration ensured strong clinical oversight and relevant local context for the training.
By strengthening Adult Resuscitation skills and promoting interdisciplinary teamwork, the workshop reinforced continuing professional development priorities for Pakistani emergency services. Attendees left better equipped with lifesaving techniques and improved team-based practices that they can apply across hospitals and emergency departments nationwide.
