The National Academy of Higher Education organized the Plant a Promise activity where PhD faculty members planted saplings and pledged to nurture them as visible commitments to sustainability and lifelong learning. The Plant a Promise initiative was carried out with faculty taking personal responsibility for the care of each sapling, turning small acts into ongoing stewardship on campus.
The activity is aligned with SDG 13 on Climate Action and SDG 15 on Life on Land, reflecting NAHE’s emphasis on linking higher education with environmental responsibility. By embedding the Plant a Promise ethos into academic settings, NAHE aims to reinforce sustainable values among faculty and students and promote green campuses across Pakistan.
