TEVTA 17th Board Meeting Approves 12 Development Schemes

The 17th emergent board meeting of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) was held at the TEVTA Secretariat under the chairmanship of Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar SI(M) Retd. The board reviewed development proposals and approved a package of initiatives intended to support TEVTA’s programs and operations, including revised rates for visiting faculty.
Board members attending the meeting included Prof. Abid H.K. Sherwani, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin (S.I), Mr. Khalid Rehman, Dr. Shehla Javed Akram, Ms. Irssa Faisal, Ms. Hafsa Naveed, and Mr. Ali Raza, who participated virtually. Representatives from the Skill Development & Employment Department Punjab and the Finance Department Punjab were present, and Mr. Masood Anwar, Chief Economist of the P&D Board, joined the meeting virtually.
TEVTA senior management was represented by Chief Operating Officer Shahid Zaman Lak, the SDG TEVTA, and all Director Generals. The board considered recommendations put forward by the TEVTA Development Working Party and gave approval to all 12 proposed development schemes.
In addition to the development schemes, the board approved a proposal to revise the visiting faculty rates. The changes aim to standardize compensation for external instructors and support TEVTA’s capacity to engage qualified teaching talent across its institutions.
