Training Boost for Women Lawyers from Balochistan

A delegation of women lawyers from the Makran and Rakhshan divisions met Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan at Parliament House in Islamabad to discuss professional training and regional challenges. The visitors are in the capital to attend a course at the Judicial Academy, and Syedaal Khan welcomed their presence as a positive step toward broader empowerment for women in Balochistan.

The Deputy Chairman praised the talent, determination and intelligence of women from Balochistan, urging the women lawyers to use their skills to advance both their province and the nation. He emphasised that the participation of women is essential for social progress and that the government is committed to expanding opportunities so women can contribute effectively to development.

Sri Khan highlighted Balochistan’s natural resource potential and projects such as Gwadar Port, noting how infrastructure projects can transform the province into a regional trade hub. He said the Federal Government is focusing on infrastructure, education, health and energy to support long-term prosperity in the region.

The delegation outlined specific issues faced by lawyers in the Makran Division and other parts of Balochistan, and the Deputy Chairman assured them that their concerns would be forwarded to the relevant authorities with a view to obtaining practical solutions. He urged the women lawyers to channel their energy positively and play an active role in their communities and courts.

Reiterating Parliament’s role, Syedaal Khan said legislative and oversight bodies will remain engaged in initiatives that promote development, strengthen youth prospects and support the advancement of women in Balochistan. The meeting underscored the importance of training and institutional support for women lawyers seeking to contribute to provincial and national progress.
