**Art Exhibition ‘Seeing, (Seen)’ Opens at PNCA, Showcasing Contemporary Moving Images and International Collaboration**

Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, has inaugurated ‘Seeing, (Seen)’, a dynamic new art exhibition at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad. The exhibition spotlights the transformative power of moving images in contemporary art, and underscores the cultural dialogue between Pakistani and UK-based artists.

Curated by Sarah Rajper under the Art Exchange: Moving Image Curatorial Fellowship, ‘Seeing, (Seen)’ challenges traditional visual narratives by exploring themes such as fragmentation, resistance, and nonlinearity. The exhibition encourages viewers to engage with new ways of sensing and perceiving reality, opening up fresh perspectives within the visual arts.

At the opening ceremony, Minister Khichi commended the PNCA’s commitment to nurturing young curators and artists, emphasizing the importance of such platforms for engaging youth in the arts. He expressed particular appreciation for the collaborative efforts between Pakistani and UK artists and thanked the British Council for its support. The minister highlighted that these exchanges meaningfully contribute to Pakistan’s evolving creative landscape and cultural discourse.

The exhibition features a wide array of artworks from both Pakistani and UK artists, including select pieces from the British Council Art Collection. To deepen public engagement, a special panel discussion was held on the opening day, where participating artists shared insights into their creative practices and the conceptual underpinnings of their work.

The event drew substantial interest from the public, attracting art enthusiasts, students, and cultural figures, all of whom attended free of charge. The exhibition will continue at PNCA in the coming days, celebrating innovation in visual storytelling and strengthening international artistic collaboration.
