Accelerating Digital Transformation at PEC

The Pakistan Engineering Council has moved forward with a strategic memorandum of understanding with NADRA to accelerate digital transformation across its operations. The collaboration targets rapid ICT development and improved e-governance to modernise how the Council serves engineers and stakeholders nationwide.

Under the agreement, NADRA will take responsibility for technical operations management, provide secure data hosting and support the development of digital applications. These measures are intended to boost transparency, enhance efficiency and streamline service delivery through technology-driven solutions, reinforcing PEC’s digital transformation agenda.

The MoU was signed by Registrar PEC Engr. Khadim Hussain Bhatti and Chief Projects NADRA Mr. Rehman Qamar, in the presence of Chairman PEC Engr. Waseem Nazir and Chairman NADRA Lt. Gen. Muhammad Munir Afsar HI(M), along with senior officials from both organisations. The event underlined a joint commitment to strengthening institutional capacities through secure and scalable ICT platforms.

Chairman PEC emphasised that this partnership marks a transformative milestone in the Council’s modernization journey, promising secure, transparent and efficient systems aligned with 21st century governance and innovation. The move is designed to accelerate PEC’s objectives by embedding digital processes into core operations.

The collaboration supports PEC’s vision of Smart PEC, aiming to build a digitally empowered, transparent and globally connected engineering ecosystem for Pakistan’s engineers and stakeholders. As NADRA implements technical solutions and secure hosting, PEC expects faster processing, better data protection and improved public access to services, reinforcing the Council’s role in national ICT progress.
