Marking JSDF anniversary with Pakistan leaders
H.E. Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, hosted a reception on Thursday 30 October to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Japan Self-Defense Forces. The gathering in Islamabad marked the JSDF anniversary and brought together senior diplomatic and defence representatives for an evening of formal exchange.
H.E. Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defense, attended as the chief guest, underscoring the importance Pakistan places on sustained dialogue with Japan. The minister’s presence highlighted bilateral engagement at a high level and signalled continued attention to defence and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Colonel Abe Kazuo, serving as Defense Attaché at the Embassy of Japan, represented the JSDF at the reception. His participation reflected the JSDF anniversary observance and provided a platform for reaffirming mutual respect and cooperation between Japan and Pakistan within defence and diplomatic channels.
The reception served as an opportunity to mark the JSDF anniversary while reinforcing the friendly relations and ongoing conversations that underpin Japan Pakistan ties in matters of defence and diplomacy.
