Pakistan China TVET Collaboration for Workforce Development

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Federal Minister for Planning Professor Ahsan Iqbal visited the Luban TVET Exhibition Hall in Tianjin, highlighting the crucial role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in sustainable development, workforce enhancement, and strengthening Pakistan-China economic relations.

During their visit, the ministers met with seven Pakistani students currently receiving training under the Luban Initiative, underscoring the effective knowledge transfer and skills development taking place between the two countries.

Since 2016, Tianjin’s Luban Workshops have expanded to over 36 centers in more than 30 countries, setting a global standard in technical education. Pakistan joined this transformative journey in 2018 with the establishment of its first Luban Workshop in Lahore, signaling a commitment to modernizing its vocational education sector and deepening international collaboration.
