Pakistan Joins Global Partners to Mark World Day Against Trafficking, Calls for United Action Against Human Trafficking

Pakistan observed World Day Against Trafficking by joining forces with international organizations and partners to call for decisive actions to end human trafficking and modern slavery. In a strong show of solidarity, agencies including the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO), International Labour Organization (ILO), International Organization for Migration (IOM), International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), and the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRARA) participated in nationwide awareness campaigns.

Emphasizing the message that “Human Trafficking is Organized Crime – End Exploitation,” officials and partners highlighted the urgent need for robust justice, greater cross-border coordination, and enhanced public awareness to combat trafficking rings. The collective vow underlined the importance of breaking the chains of modern slavery and safeguarding vulnerable communities from exploitation.

Authorities noted that joint efforts, comprehensive policies, and targeted initiatives are essential components in the ongoing fight against trafficking. By fostering collaboration between governments, law enforcement, civil society organizations, and international bodies, Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to protecting human rights and supporting victims of trafficking.

The observance reinforced the principle that safeguarding the dignity and freedom of all individuals requires global unity and sustained, coordinated action. Pakistan’s active participation alongside its partners was portrayed as a testament to the country’s resolve to confront and ultimately eradicate human trafficking.
