Strengthening Pakistan Tajikistan Defence Ties

On November 13, 2025, Defence Minister Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim met with Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation. The Tajik minister conveyed best wishes for his country’s military and civil leadership and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to closer ties with Pakistan.

Matters related to bilateral defence cooperation were reviewed and both sides explored new avenues for enhancing collaboration. The exchanges highlighted the importance of Pakistan Tajikistan defence cooperation as a foundation for mutual security and practical coordination between the two countries.

Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif underscored Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and regional cooperation, particularly with Central Asian states. The Tajik defence minister pledged to work with Pakistan to strengthen bilateral ties and pursue the initiatives discussed during the meeting.

The Islamabad meeting reflects continued engagement between Pakistan and Tajikistan at a senior defence level and signals both capitals’ intent to follow up on proposals that support regional stability and constructive cooperation.
