FPCCI and MarcoPolo Boost Pakistan Tourism
The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry and M/s MarcoPolo Resorts & Tours (Private) Limited have formalised a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding to actively promote Pakistan tourism and the hospitality sector.
Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of FPCCI, and Javed Iqbal, CEO of MPR&T, signed the MoU in Islamabad with senior officials from both organisations in attendance. The agreement is designed to harness the combined strengths of FPCCI’s business network and MarcoPolo’s operational experience to expand travel and hotel opportunities across Pakistan.
The collaboration aims to promote sustainable development in the hospitality industry, enhance the visitor experience, and showcase Pakistan’s natural beauty and adventure potential to international and domestic travellers. By focusing on responsible tourism and hotel industry growth, the partners intend to attract investment and support regional tourism initiatives.
The signing ceremony included Tariq Khan Jadon, Vice President FPCCI; Karim Aziz Malik, Chairman FPCCI Capital Office; Malik Sohail Hussain, Chairman Coordination Capital Office; Khalid Yaqoob Malik, General Manager MPR&T; and Tanveer Kamran, Senior Deputy Manager JV/Aviation, among others. Their participation underlines a coordinated effort between industry stakeholders and private operators to drive tangible development.
With this MoU, FPCCI and MarcoPolo plan to provide mutual support and cooperation to stimulate job creation, improve hospitality standards and increase visitor arrivals. The agreement positions both organisations to promote Pakistan tourism as a sustainable and competitive destination in regional and global markets.
