Ducky Bhai Accuses Cyber Agency of Torture
Popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai has publicly accused officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency of physical assault, blackmail and extortion following his arrest over alleged promotion of illegal gambling apps. In a video posted on December 7, 2025, he detailed his detention, alleged mistreatment and claims that large sums were forcibly transferred from his crypto accounts.
According to his account, Ducky Bhai was stopped at immigration on August 16, 2025, while travelling to a Malaysian government event with his wife. He says officers cuffed him shortly after an FIR was noted and took him to the Gulberg office, where he alleges his digital passwords and records were seized and that he was repeatedly slapped and verbally abused. He also says officers showed acts of violence over a video call in front of a seven-year-old child.
He claimed his investigators and an alleged intermediary repeatedly demanded money, at times asking for figures he described as between PKR 60 lakh and 7–8 crore. Ducky Bhai said threats included naming his wife in the case and that officials told him, in effect, they acted as judge and lawyer. He also alleged that bank accounts belonging to several family members, including an 80-year-old grandfather, were blocked, leaving the household in financial distress.
On the subject of cryptocurrencies, Ducky Bhai alleged that his trading was deliberately disrupted, that about USD 326,000 was sent into an officer’s wallet under duress, and that the same funds were later presented to the court as a recovery rather than as an alleged appropriation. He says he resisted paying bribes while in custody but that his family borrowed PKR 60 lakh to comply with demands out of fear.
Authorities from the Federal Investigation Agency filed a report in a Lahore court stating that more than PKR 4.25 crore was recovered from arrested NCCIA officers. The FIA noted that approximately PKR 1,25,48,000 was seized from Additional Director Choudhry Sarfaraz, who is among those detained in the case. Independent Urdu contacted the agency for comment but had not received a response at the time of the vlog.
Prior to Ducky Bhai’s release on bail after around 100 days in custody, seven NCCIA officers were arrested and some submitted resignations. Ducky Bhai named Additional Director Choudhry Sarfaraz as one of the officials he accused of corruption; the agency has not issued a public response to his allegations.
Ducky Bhai has said he cooperated fully with the courts throughout the process and asked the public for forgiveness if any of his past content caused harm. He expressed hope that the judiciary will deliver justice and concluded his statement by thanking senior security officials, saying they had shown professionalism and helped separate him from what he called a corrupt network.
The case centers on allegations that he promoted illegal gambling applications such as Binomo, an app that was officially banned in 2023. Pakistani courts have long treated promotion of gambling as a serious offence, and the developments are likely to draw further attention to enforcement of online gambling prohibitions and accountability within cybercrime units.
