The Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) and its Just Energy Transition team recently met with Ms. Shaista Pervaiz, Convener of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Task Force at the National Assembly, to discuss potential collaboration on advancing environmental sustainability in Pakistan.
During the meeting, discussions centered on capacity building for SDG Task Force members, with particular emphasis on promoting the adoption of green building practices, supporting the use of electric vehicles, and finding solutions for cleaner air across the country.
Both parties expressed a strong commitment to collective action, aiming to foster a more sustainable and climate-resilient future for Pakistan. The meeting concluded with optimism about future partnerships and joint initiatives to accelerate progress towards the nation’s environmental goals.
