Islamabad Summer Camps Approved for Private Schools
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training together with ICT-PEIRA has authorised private educational institutions in Islamabad to run summer activities from June 8 to July 8, 2026, allowing students to benefit from structured learning and enrichment during the break. The Islamabad summer camps initiative aims to maintain educational continuity while offering creative and positive engagement for learners across the capital.
Dr. Abrar Hussain Malik, Central President of the All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPSCA), welcomed the decision as a timely and balanced measure that supports both student welfare and the operational needs of private schools and colleges. He said the permission will help institutions deliver supervised academic and co-curricular programmes that reinforce classroom learning.
Dr. Malik paid tribute to ICT-PEIRA Chairman Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, and Secretary PEIRA Muhammad Javed Iqbal for introducing a student-friendly policy. He noted that leadership has ensured students’ health and safety remain priorities while safeguarding the interests of parents and private education providers.
Highlighting the wider benefits of the Islamabad summer camps, Dr. Malik urged the Ministry and PEIRA to continue practical engagement with the private education sector to address ongoing challenges and raise standards nationwide. He reaffirmed APPSCA’s commitment to collaborate with government bodies and regulatory authorities to promote quality education, student welfare, and institutional development.
Students, he added, will gain from educational activities delivered in a safe and conducive environment that seek to enhance academic skills and nurture creativity. APPSCA expects the summer camp programme to contribute to strengthened educational outcomes and a more resilient private schooling sector in Islamabad.
