Rawalpindi Board Boosts Exam Integrity

Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and directives from Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, the Rawalpindi Board has stepped up measures to secure exam integrity across the district. A newly activated command and control centre, led by Commissioner and Chairman Engineer Aamir Khattak, is providing continuous oversight of examination centres to ensure fair and transparent conduct.

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan reported that eight candidates were caught cheating during ongoing examinations. Cases have been registered against the individuals and forwarded to the board office discipline branch for further action, underscoring the administration’s commitment to exam integrity and strict enforcement of the zero tolerance policy.

The command and control centre’s real-time monitoring has been credited with reducing instances of malpractice and tightening the net on cheating networks. Visits were conducted to multiple centres including Government Elite High School Morgah, Government High School Chak Beli Khan and Government Boys High School Jatha Hathyala, where the incidents took place, as well as to Government Boys High School Dhok Kashmirian Centre A B, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dhok Kashmirian, Government Associate College Farwomen Murree Road Rawalpindi, Government High School Dhalla and Government Higher Secondary School Basali to review arrangements.

Board officials emphasized that all personnel are fully aligned with the Punjab government’s zero tolerance stance and that any involvement in cheating will not be tolerated. The Rawalpindi Board said the strengthened surveillance and prompt disciplinary measures are aimed at preserving merit and public confidence in the examination system.
