PMAS AAUR Advances Quaid e Azam Ideals

On the birth anniversary of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz Zaman, Vice Chancellor of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, highlighted the Quaid e Azam legacy as a guiding example of integrity, perseverance and visionary leadership. He said the founding ideals remain central to national progress and must inform the work of universities across Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz Zaman urged academic institutions to translate those ideals into concrete action by strengthening quality education, research excellence and a culture of national service. He emphasized that carrying forward the Quaid e Azam principles requires deliberate efforts to shape character alongside knowledge so graduates contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.

The Vice Chancellor stressed that universities have a pivotal role in preparing leaders and innovators who can tackle Pakistan’s pressing challenges in agriculture, food security, climate resilience and economic growth. He called for targeted research and practical training at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi to support resilient farming practices and food systems for the nation.

Speaking in an interview with the university’s Directorate of Public Relations & Publications, the Vice Chancellor renewed the institution’s pledge to equip youth with the skills and responsibility needed to advance the Quaid e Azam vision. He underlined that academic commitment to service, research and outreach will be essential to meeting Pakistan’s development goals.
