Driving AI Accessibility for Disability Inclusion
In Islamabad, Shawaz Hussain, CEO of Stargaze AI, met with Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for IT, to explore collaborative steps in artificial intelligence aimed at disability empowerment. The meeting focused on practical pathways to deploy AI-driven solutions that improve access and independence for differently-abled Pakistanis.
They discussed launching targeted AI projects and pilot programs designed to enhance accessibility across education, employment and public services. Emphasis was placed on developing assistive technologies, scalable accessibility tools and partnerships with government bodies to ensure meaningful roll-out at the national level.
Both leaders underlined the need to support implementation of key features of the Disability Act and to align technological solutions with legislative intent. Their shared vision—technology with purpose, innovation with inclusion and AI for everyone—positions AI accessibility as a practical enabler of rights and opportunity for disabled communities in Pakistan.
The collaboration also looked beyond borders, aiming to design solutions with potential global applicability while prioritising local needs and context. By combining government support with private sector innovation, the initiative seeks to deliver measurable improvements in daily life for differently-abled individuals across Pakistan and internationally.
