Pakistan and US Discuss Economic and Diplomatic Cooperation

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has arrived in Washington, D.C. to embark on a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening Pakistan-United States relations, with a particular emphasis on economic cooperation and regional issues.

Upon his arrival, Senator Dar was welcomed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, along with senior officials from the Embassy of Pakistan. During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Department of State. Discussions between the two leaders will focus on key aspects of the bilateral relationship, including strategies to deepen collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, and economic development.

In addition to official talks, Senator Dar is set to address the Atlantic Council, a prominent U.S. think tank. His speech will provide insights into Pakistan’s perspective on critical regional and global challenges, as well as outline the country’s vision for the future of Pakistan-U.S. relations. The visit underscores Islamabad’s commitment to expanding its partnership with Washington across multiple domains.
