Exam Centre Inspection Intensifies Action Against Cheats

Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan conducted an on-site exam centre inspection at Government College of Technology Taxila on 2 October 2025, reviewing standard operating procedures and security arrangements in detail. The visit focused on strengthening checkpoint protocols and ensuring all logistical measures are fully operational ahead of scheduled papers.

During the inspection he directed supervisors to make arrangements foolproof and to address any identified gaps immediately. The controller highlighted the importance of strict implementation of invigilation SOPs and technical safeguards that support exam integrity.

Tanveer Asghar Awan reiterated that the board is enforcing a zero tolerance approach against cheating networks and organised malpractice. He said authorities will act firmly against any individual or group attempting to undermine the examination process, and that the Punjab government policy on zero tolerance is being applied rigorously.

The controller urged all exam staff to treat their duties as a national service and to perform with honesty and responsibility so that the examination process remains transparent and exemplary. He emphasized that professional conduct by staff is essential to protect students rights and the credibility of results.

The educational board spokesperson Arsalan Ali Cheema confirmed the visit and said the board will continue regular inspections and enhanced monitoring to ensure secure and fair exams across the region.
